It is a set of common values and beliefs that all people should have control and choice over their life.

People Planning Together OTAC staff facilitates and provides support and mentorship to People Planning Together trainers, who teach other people with disabilities to take a leadership role in planning a life they desire.

This class is about team work between a person who receives services and their support person participating in the class together to develop a Person Centered Description. This description includes what is important to and important for each of them along with identifying goals they want to achieve. They also learn what to do with the information and how to share it with others that support them. The one day workshop is taught by people who experience physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The information gathered and learned in the class is used to develop/update the person’s Individual Support Plan or other plans he/she may have to help create balanced supports and ensure the person has control and choice over their life.
