Customized Community Employment for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities – Basic Training This training will teach participants the basics of customized supported employment for working with individuals with developmental disabilities and complex support needs.

Working It Out This three-day course is designed as an intensive opportunity to learn techniques leading to successful paid employment for people with significant disabilities. Request this training
Person Centered Planning for Community Employment Participants will observe an actual PCP with an employment focus, and practice information gathering techniques that will allow them to determine possible job categories and support strategies for employment success. They will learn how to provide technical assistance and training to families, agencies and providers in the areas of employment, person centered planning and community development leading to the successful placement of individuals with disabilities. They will learn to foster collaborative relationships with school districts, providers, businesses and agencies. Request this training
Tools to Find the Right Job Maximize the employment potential of the individuals you support!

This full day training session for employment and residential providers focuses on ways to use the 24-hour comprehensive ISP to assist individuals to explore job options.  We discuss the opportunities to help people go from a job to a career.

It offers strategies for working with people who have negative reputations and figuring out the positive traits and attributes to use in acquiring a job. Other employment resources, such as Social Security work incentives—IRWEs and subsidies, and partnering with Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (OVRS) are also discussed.

• Adaptations and AccommodationsA FUN Hands on practical training for professionals supporting people with disabilities residentially or vocationally. Participants will expect to leave with a basic ability to teach and train new skills in a range of settings. Understanding how to teach and train new skills is critical to growth and development in a job, home or class room setting. Direct support staff can assist people with disabilities to succeed, through effective teaching and training skills, leading to greater independence, in the workplace, or in their home setting.
